Expired Food: How Long is it Safe to Eat

If the date on the pack has passed, then the food is garbage? Not always. Discover the maximum time to consume it without fear.

Every year most of us spend a lot of money on food that do not use and throw in the trash. In USA there are two entries for the expiration date: A “Use-By” date that indicates a deadline within which the product should be consumed and a “Best if Used By (or Before)” date that indicates the preferred date by which to consume the food to keep intact its nutritional characteristics.

How long is it safe: 3-4 days after the expiration date, bearing in mind that the enzymes begin to decrease.
